The RCIA is a restoration of the ancient practice of initiation into the church: a process of discerning and ritualizing stages of conversion, leading to sacramental initiation through the sacraments of baptism confirmation, and Eucharist celebrated at Easter. By these sacraments we are empowered to lead lives of service, charity, and justice as witnesses to the reign of God. It is through the parish community, through its witness, worship, service and catechesis that offers the invitation and support necessary for men and women to be initiated into the church.
We, as a parish, are now welcoming individuals and families, who have a desire to learn more about the Catholic faith and life with an eye on entering the church. If you would like to be a part of the RCIA process here at St. Francis – join us. If you know someone who has asked you about how one enters the church, share with them the invitation to join the RCIA process on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in the St. Francis/St. Claire Room). Myrna Stimac (email@example.com).
